Welcome
Overview
Since its establishment in 2009, our laboratory has been conducting research and development on human–information interaction, with a primary focus on information retrieval. Addressing the universal human challenge of “acquiring information that helps solve problems,” we pursue the following three missions:
- Study the complex processes of human–information interaction
- Develop new user experiences in human–information interaction
- Build datasets that accelerate research in human–information interaction
In recent years, we have expanded our research scope from humans to generative AI models, analysing their information-seeking behaviors and responses. Through this work, we aim to create environments in which both humans and generative AI can access information more effectively.
